Sad to hijack this post but I don't know how to commencement my ain thread in the Windows XP category.
Can I simply say I was disgusted today after installing a legally purchased non counterfeit copy of XP Pro for a friend on his computer after his old difficult bulldoze failed but to find Microsoft refused to activate information technology and he will get a slowly worsening computer as XP shuts him off!!
And so the Microsoft activation guy on the phone tried to actually charge me $99 to activate it!! This is a piece of software I have already purchased legally and legitimately, the first customer service guy already told me I had a 18-carat copy of Windows. I'grand already planning my next trip to the Apple tree shop.

I institute a Microsoft site saying y'all could still activate XP after four-8-14. And updates that have already been made you can download. But no new ones.
Non sure how much of my money I would desire to bet on information technology...
